Franklin Roundtable Board members Richard Arena and Matt Schwartz and Chairman Emeritus J.D. Van Brink discuss Big Tech, and how these handful of companies exercise influence over content on the internet. The group discusses Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, and how Big Tech companies hide behind this section of federal law to control content while enjoying immunity from prosecution for what is said on their platforms. A number of remedies to reduce Big Tech’s control are also discussed.
